Transparent by design
Treasury composition, activity, and scholarship allocations are meant to be visible onchain.
The Fund exists to use crypto wealth to help fund scholarships. A transparent onchain treasury is how we propose to put that purpose to work for the long term.
THE THESIS
Crypto has created extraordinary wealth. Endow exists to put some of that wealth to work for students through scholarships. The treasury serves that purpose.
Along the way, we want to open institutional education to crypto—and honor and extend the generosity, community, and creativity that brought life onchain into being and continue to sustain it.
Treasury composition, activity, and scholarship allocations are meant to be visible onchain.
Scholarships offer a concrete starting point for educational institutions to engage with crypto and discover what it can make possible.
Participation supports the mission; it does not purchase control over scholarship recipients.
TWO WAYS TO PARTICIPATE
The proposed architecture distinguishes capital that retains a claim from capital given permanently to the mission.
Both are traditional in the word’s oldest sense: tradere—to hand on. Hold $ENDOW, and your capital works toward scholarships. Exercise its claim, and the portion relinquished through decay stays with the Fund. With $fundENDOW, the entire contribution is handed on permanently.
$ENDOW is designed to connect participation in the treasury to the scholarship mission. Proposed releases are limited, transparent, and structured around long-term alignment.
The first 1,000,000 $ENDOW tokens will mint at $1 USD equivalent each. Any future batches will mint at the treasury’s USD-equivalent value divided by the outstanding $ENDOW supply, measured immediately before minting.
Each token’s claim-decay clock starts at mint. Its claim right decreases linearly over ten years, from 100% to 75% of its original claim, then remains at that 75% floor.
$fundENDOW is designed for irrevocable contributions to the Fund. It carries no redeemable treasury claim; the capital remains permanently at work for scholarships.
PROPOSED ALLOCATION
A disciplined treasury centered on Bitcoin and staked Ether, with a measured allocation to Base infrastructure and ecosystem assets.
90%BTC + staked ETH
10%Base ecosystem
BUILD IN THE OPEN. LAUNCH WITH CARE.
The first objective is credibility: test the structure, invite founding partners, and make the system legible before any public issuance. Scholarships remain the purpose at every stage.
Architecture, legal review, treasury simulation, and working prototype.
Invite Base to help found the Fund, alongside educational institutions, permanent patrons, and treasury collaborators.
Measured public participation only after the structure earns it.
Fund the first scholarship—and build toward the next generation.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF CRYPTO LEGACY
We don’t just want to build the Endow Scholarship Fund on Base. We want Base to help found the Fund.
Our invitation to Base and Coinbase: help make the Fund a powerful demonstration of what crypto success can make possible. We welcome educational institutions, philanthropic partners, and onchain builders who share that purpose.
